"Fast ForWord became an integral part of Surrey's educational offerings in 2008 and, since then, hundreds of students have benefited. It's not a silver bullet, says Brad Bauman, the district principal for student support services, but some students have gained four years of reading ability in a matter of months. The average gain is one year and six months after 42 days with Fast ForWord.
But language and literacy advancements aren't the only benefits that teachers and parents have noticed. While gaining confidence in their learning, many Fast ForWord students also came out of their shell and were more willing to tackle other activities and participate in classroom discussions."
